Coffee?…The Finish Line

I wouldn't classify myself as any type of photographer. When I have the urge to shoot I take my camera and when I dont it keeps my papers from flying away. However, when I travel I always take my gear, I dont always use it but when I do... I just go with the flow.

My life has a common yet uncommon aspect where that my biological father lives in Southern Cali and happens to love cars. A love that I also have however, it wasnt something that was given to me it just existed. On this trip I drove to "Cars & Coffee" in his beautiful 1957 Prim Rose Austin Healey BN4. The destination was unlike I have ever been to but very Southern California I would say. I also wasn't really prepared for what I was about to see or experience even though I was prepped for how amazing this destination was.

Driving up to a warehouse in an commercial development in Southern California driving a cherry 1954 Austin Healey in itself is an expericence. Pulling into the empty parking lot thinking we were the 1st car there I rolled my eyes. However, my eyes didnt expect to see what was in the back lot. As we approached the back corner of the main building cars started to appear in the back lot along with a lone man directing us into the main hallway of the warehouse. This is and was not like any other warehouse. This particular one is lined with private garage doors that your not so average car collector owns and stores the dreams of little boys. Cars that would blow your mind and budget, fill these garages. Beyond the collections of rare automotive pieces other collectors arrived in cars that many of us aspire to own, This was one of the most amazing gatherings of automotive perfection I've seen in my life for a casual "Cars & Coffee"... Like I said I go with the flow so here is just a fraction of what some us drool over now just as we did as kids.
